Panasonic Toyota F1
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Panasonic) and Toyota
announced in July 2001 the formal agreement under which Matsushita is serving as the title sponsor
of the Toyota Formula One (F1) racing team.

The sponsorship, which runs for 5 years from 2002 through 2006,
has seen the Toyota F1 team named 'Panasonic TOYOTA Racing'.
Matsushita also pledged to support Toyota's F1 project by actively providing the necessary cutting-edge technology in key areas such as automotive electronics, AV, IT and Telecommunications that the team needs for a successful entry into F1 racing. The Panasonic TOYOTA Racing Team is already using a number of state-of-the-art Panasonic products in its daily activities. For example, Panasonic 15' LCD Monitors are used for viewing race data on the pit timing wall, while the durable Panasonic Notebook PCs are used by team members including race engineers.
Other products used to support the team include mobile phones, digital still and digital video cameras, CCVE equipment, LCD Projectors, SD Memory Cards, DVD Navigation systems and plasma screens.
